代下12:1 罗波安的王位稳定，他也强盛起来，就离弃了耶和华的律法，全体以色列人也都跟随他。
代下12:1 Now when Rehoboam's position as king had been made certain, and he was strong, he gave up the law of the Lord, and all Israel with him.
代下12:2 罗波安王第五年，埃及王示撒上来攻打耶路撒冷，因为他们得罪了耶和华。
代下12:2 Now in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak, king of Egypt, came up against Jerusalem, because of their sin against the Lord,
代下12:3 示撒率领战车一千二百辆，马兵六万，和他一同从埃及出来的路比人、苏基人和古实人，多得无法数算。
代下12:3 With twelve hundred war-carriages and sixty thousand horsemen: and the people who came with him out of Egypt were more than might be numbered: Lubim and Sukkiim and Ethiopians.
代下12:4 他攻取了犹大境内的设防城，然后来到耶路撒冷。
代下12:4 And he took the walled towns of Judah, and came as far as Jerusalem.
代下12:5 那时，犹大的众领袖，因为示撒的缘故，就聚集在耶路撒冷；示玛雅先知就来见罗波安和众领袖，对他们说：“耶和华这样说：‘你们既然离弃了我，所以我也离弃你们，把你们交在示撒的手里。’”
代下12:5 Now Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and the chiefs of Judah, who had come together in Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, The Lord has said, Because you have given me up, I have given you up into the hands of Shishak.
代下12:6 于是以色列的众领袖和君王，都谦卑下来，说：“耶和华是公义的。”
代下12:6 Then the chiefs of Israel and the king made themselves low and said, The Lord is upright.
代下12:7 耶和华看见他们谦卑下来，耶和华的话就临到示玛雅，说：“他们既然谦卑下来，我就不灭绝他们；我必使他们暂时得救，我必不借着示撒把我的烈怒倾倒在耶路撒冷。
代下12:7 And the Lord, seeing that they had made themselves low, said to Shemaiah, They have made themselves low: I will not send destruction on them, but in a short time I will give them salvation, and will not let loose my wrath on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
代下12:8 虽然这样，他们仍必作示撒的仆人，好使他们知道，服事我和服事世上的列国有什么分别。”
代下12:8 But still they will become his servants, so that they may see how different my yoke is from the yoke of the kingdoms of the lands.
代下12:9 于是埃及王示撒上来攻打耶路撒冷，夺取了耶和华殿和王宫里的宝物，把它们全部带走，又夺去了所罗门所做的金盾牌。
代下12:9 So Shishak, king of Egypt, came up against Jerusalem and took away all the stored wealth of the house of the Lord and the king's house: he took everything away, and with the rest the gold body-covers which Solomon had made.
代下12:10 罗波安王做了一些铜盾牌代替那些金盾牌，交给那些看守宫门的守卫长看管。
代下12:10 And in their place King Rehoboam had other body-covers made of brass and gave them into the care of the captains of the armed men who were stationed at the door of the king's house.
代下12:11 每逢王进耶和华殿的时候，守卫就来拿这些盾牌，事后又把盾牌送回守卫房那里。
代下12:11 And whenever the king went into the house of the Lord, the armed men went with him taking the body-covers, and then took them back to their room.
代下12:12 王既然谦卑下来，耶和华的烈怒就止息，没有把他完全消灭。何况在犹大中还有善事。
代下12:12 And when he made himself low, the wrath of the Lord was turned back from him, and complete destruction did not come on him, for there was still some good in Judah.
代下12:13 罗波安王在耶路撒冷渐渐强盛，继续作王。罗波安登基的时候是四十一岁；他在耶和华从以色列众支派中选出来，立下他名的耶路撒冷城中，作王十七年。罗波安的母亲名叫拿玛，是亚扪人。
代下12:13 So King Rehoboam made himself strong in Jerusalem and was ruling there. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he became king, and he was ruling for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the town which the Lord had made his out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there; and his mother's name was Naamah, an Ammonite woman.
代下12:14 罗波安行恶，因为他没有定意寻求耶和华。
代下12:14 And he did evil because his heart was not true to the Lord.
代下12:15 罗波安的事迹，一生的始末，不是都记在示玛雅先知，和先见易多的记录上吗？罗波安和耶罗波安二人常有争战。
代下12:15 Now the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not recorded in the words of Shemaiah the prophet and Iddo the seer? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all their days.
代下12:16 罗波安和他的列祖同睡，埋葬在大卫城里。他的儿子亚比雅接续他作王。
代下12:16 And Rehoboam went to rest with his fathers, and was put into the earth in the town of David; and Abijah his son became king in his place.
