	[niv]	Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who rise up against me.
	[asv]	Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: Set me on high from them that rise up against me.

	[niv]	Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men.
	[asv]	Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, And save me from the bloodthirsty men.

	[niv]	See how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me for no offense or sin of mine, O LORD.
	[asv]	For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul; The mighty gather themselves together against me: Not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.

	[niv]	I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Arise to help me; look on my plight!

	[niv]	O LORD God Almighty, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish all the nations; show no mercy to wicked traitors.
	[asv]	Even thou, O Jehovah God of hosts, the God of Israel, Arise to visit all the nations: Be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah
	[jnd]	Yea, do thou, Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel, arise to visit all the nations: be not gracious to any plotters of iniquity. Selah.
	[kjv]	Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

	[niv]	They return at evening, snarling like dogs, and prowl about the city.

	[niv]	See what they spew from their mouths-- they spew out swords from their lips, and they say, "Who can hear us?"
	[asv]	Behold, they belch out with their mouth; Swords are in their lips: For who, say they, doth hear?

	[niv]	But you, O LORD, laugh at them; you scoff at all those nations.
	[asv]	But thou, O Jehovah, wilt laugh at them; Thou wilt have all the nations in derision.

	[niv]	O my Strength, I watch for you; you, O God, are my fortress,
	[asv]	Because of his strength I will give heed unto thee; For God is my high tower.
	[jnd]	Their strength! ... I will take heed to thee; for God is my high fortress.
	[kjv]	Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.

	[niv]	my loving God. God will go before me and will let me gloat over those who slander me.
	[asv]	My God with his lovingkindness will meet me: God will let me see my desire upon mine enemies.
	[jnd]	God, whose loving-kindness will come to meet me, -- God shall let me see upon mine enemies.
	[kjv]	The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.

	[niv]	But do not kill them, O Lord our shield, or my people will forget. In your might make them wander about, and bring them down.
	[asv]	Slay them not, lest my people forget: Scatter them by thy power, and bring them down, O Lord our shield.

	[niv]	For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride. For the curses and lies they utter,
	[asv]	For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, Let them even be taken in their pride, And for cursing and lying which they speak.

	[niv]	consume them in wrath, consume them till they are no more. Then it will be known to the ends of the earth that God rules over Jacob.

	[asv]	They shall wander up and down for food, And tarry all night if they be not satisfied.

	[niv]	But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
	[asv]	But I will sing of thy strength; Yea, I will sing aloud of thy lovingkindness in the morning: For thou hast been my high tower, And a refuge in the day of my distress.
	[jnd]	But as for me, I will sing of thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of thy loving-kindness in the morning; for thou hast been to me a high fortress, and a refuge in the day of my trouble.
	[kjv]	But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
