    [niv] Do you rulers indeed speak justly? Do you judge uprightly among men?
    [asv] Do ye indeed in silence speak righteousness?  Do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?  
    [jnd] {To the chief Musician. 'Destroy not.' Of David. Michtam.} Is righteousness indeed silent? Do ye speak it? Do ye judge with equity, ye sons of men?
    [kjv] Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

    [niv] No, in your heart you devise injustice, and your hands mete out violence on the earth.
    [asv] Nay, in heart ye work wickedness;  Ye weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth.

    [asv] Which hearkeneth not to the voice of charmers,  Charming never so wisely.  
    [jnd] Which doth not hearken to the voice of enchanters, of one charming ever so wisely.

    [niv] Break the teeth in their mouths, O God; tear out, O LORD, the fangs of the lions!
    [asv] Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth:  Break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Jehovah.

    [niv] Let them vanish like water that flows away; when they draw the bow, let their arrows be blunted.
    [asv] Let them melt away as water that runneth apace:  When he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.

    [kjv] Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

    [niv] Like a slug melting away as it moves along, like a stillborn child, may they not see the sun.
    [asv] Let them be as a snail which melteth and passeth away,  Like the untimely birth of a woman, that hath not seen the sun.

    [niv] Before your pots can feel the thorns-- whether they be green or dry--the wicked will be swept away.
    [asv] Before your pots can feel the thorns,  He will take them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.  
    [jnd] Before your pots feel the thorns, green or burning, -- they shall be whirled away.

    [niv] The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.
    [asv] The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance:  He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked;  
    [jnd] The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance; he shall wash his footsteps in the blood of the wicked:

    [niv] Then men will say, "Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth."
    [asv] So that men shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous:  Verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth. Psalm
    [jnd] And men shall say, Verily there is fruit for the righteous; verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.
    [kjv] So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
